Rembrant Pradesh
Rembrant Pradesh is a Twilight Shadowquip Mage, sharpshooter, and combat mage of the White Sea Mage Guild in Bosco. His profile depicts him at 20 years old as a human with feline traits and the son of Vander Pradesh, Cidalise "Cida" Gousselle, and Presca Martel.
Rembrant manipulates both shadow and light, creating his own shadows rather than depending only on those already present. The family directories also identify him as a Twilight Void Angel. His significant other is Tomo Takida.
Appearance
Rembrant has vivid teal eyes, long black hair with teal accents, feline ears, and a tail that emerges from the base of his spine. His reference depicts dark, elaborate markings across his back and arms.
His clothing combines black leather, fitted shirts, belts, gloves, silver-toned jewelry, and teal details. Custom firearms and sidearms form part of his combat equipment.
Personality
Rembrant is lighthearted, confident, charismatic, playful, loyal, and fiercely protective. His easy humor coexists with a serious commitment to those he cares about.
He enjoys singing, dancing, and playing guitar. Music and movement provide an expressive part of his life beyond combat.
Magic and Abilities
Twilight Shadowquip
Rembrant's principal magic is Twilight Shadowquip, combining shadow and light manipulation. He can bend light, command shadows, and create shadows of his own. His magic is therefore not limited to the shadows already present in his surroundings.
His control is expressed in the statement:
I create my own shadows. Then I decide where the light falls.
Twilight Void Angel
The Pradesh family and Encan Citizens directories classify Rembrant as a Twilight Void Angel. This classification accompanies his Twilight Shadowquip specialization.
Sharpshooting and Combat
Rembrant specializes in sharpshooting and magical combat. Like his mother Cida and his half-brother Royce, he is associated with precision, patience, and timing in the use of firearms.
His weapons include custom firearms, shadow-forged sidearms, and daggers.
Music and Dance
Rembrant's talents include singing, dancing, and guitar. His reference portrays these activities as sources of joy and freedom, alongside his loyalty and protective instincts.

Frozen Roses (unpublished)
The following material is drawn from Frozen Roses, an unpublished story concerning the second generation of characters. It will be published at a later date. Events here belong to the manuscript's chronology and may depict younger stages than the later profiles elsewhere on this page.
Twilight training
Rembrant's light-bending gifts distinguish him from a Shadowquip who works only with darkness. Vander recognizes the limits of what he can teach that specialization. Tomo Takida arranges for Yana Belarian, another Twilight practitioner, to mentor Rembrant.
During the children's beach gathering, Rembrant enjoys flying a colorful kite and invites Tomo to try it. Their easy companionship develops alongside Tomo's role as Keeper. Later in the manuscript, Rembrant travels to Seven with Royce, Loni, and Aldebrand during the events involving Draskden; the brief passage does not describe all of their activities there.
Beasts of Seven (unpublished draft)
The following details come from the Beasts of Seven manuscript set, which is not yet published in its final form. Numbered document labels identify draft sources, not published AO3 chapters. Events describe the manuscript's chronology and may differ from later character profiles.
Service during the Xillian crisis
Rembrant travels with Vander, Cida and his siblings during Seven's response to Xillian. He, Aldebrand and Royce are assigned to help protect Princess Belle and restrain Loni if her response to danger becomes excessive. He also keeps the adults informed about Loni's determination to protect Belle. (Beasts 21–22.)
White Sea story
Rembrant is born in Cida's four-child delivery with teal-colored hair and eyes. Yana identifies him as the first Twilight Void Angel since the early Holy Wars: he can move light to create shadows, rather than only command shadows already present. Yana warns that this will present a special challenge for Tomo as Keeper. (White Sea, Chapter 40.)
