Names

Loni's full given name is Illonia, with Loni used as her familiar name. Her alternate surnames are:

  • Gousselle
  • Pradesh
  • Husen
  • Martel

Appearance

Loni stands 5 ft 4 in tall. She has black-and-red hair and wine-red eyes. Her Void Angel appearance includes large, dark wings with red membranes. Her styling features black and red clothing, gold jewelry, red gemstones, and ornamental markings.

Tiger Form

In her shifted form, Loni becomes a tiger with red fur, black stripes, and red eyes. Pale markings accent the muzzle, underside, and paws.

Personality

Loni is strongly independent and chooses the rules she follows. Her character profile describes her as a mild kleptomaniac and a moderate sociopath. She is drawn to shiny objects and enjoys collecting or handling jewelry and other valuables.

She loves beignets and shiny things. Despite her resistance to outside authority, Kuzu and Tomo are exceptions: she listens to them when she disregards others.

Frozen Roses (unpublished)

The following material is drawn from Frozen Roses, an unpublished story concerning the second generation of characters. It will be published at a later date. Events here belong to the manuscript's chronology and may depict younger stages than the later profiles elsewhere on this page.

Learning and temperament

Time in Kingdom Plane gives Loni opportunities to learn under angels. She describes herself as literal, orderly, and good at following precise instructions, while remaining fiercely selective about the rules and people she accepts. Beignets become a particular enthusiasm.

Loni sees her purpose as protecting those she cares about. Her watchfulness can keep her awake late, and she sometimes sees Void shades that others cannot perceive. She stays within the estate's protective wards, though she remains curious and energetic inside them.

Kuzu's calm and Tomo's guidance offer forms of reassurance she accepts. Their childhood interactions include coloring, family meals, and play; her future marriage is recorded separately in the later profile. Loni also spends time playing with Jareth and joins the group that later visits Seven.

Beasts of Seven (unpublished draft)

The following details come from the Beasts of Seven manuscript set, which is not yet published in its final form. Numbered document labels identify draft sources, not published AO3 chapters. Events describe the manuscript's chronology and may differ from later character profiles.

Protecting Seven's princess

Nuryev asks Loni's family to help protect the queen, Princess Belle and the young dragons. Loni accepts and becomes particularly watchful over Belle, whom she includes among the people she protects. Aldebrand, Rembrant and Royce are assigned to protect the princess with her and keep Loni from going too far in a confrontation. Rembrant keeps the adults informed about her vigilance. (Beasts 21–22; Beasts 26.)

Loni also objects openly when a guest disparages shifters, defending her mother and siblings and explaining that she was born with her traits. Her sweet tooth remains conspicuous: Arman remarks that she can take Vander's lollipops without him noticing. A summer education program in the dragons' lair is discussed for her, but her attendance is only a possibility in that scene. (Beasts 25–26.)

White Sea story

The ending records Loni's birth alongside Aldebrand, Rembrant and Royce. She inherits Vander's black-and-red coloring and is identified as a Void Tiger Dire. The chapter uses the name Illona; this sheet retains the established full-name spelling Illonia. (White Sea, Chapter 40.)
