The son created from his and the late Adrianna's genetics is named Adrian Thomas. Adrian's arrival forces Lord Thomas to confront the hostility of his current wife Madison and some of their children toward his first wife's sons. He insists that both Thomas and Adrian be treated with respect and threatens to withdraw inheritance and family recognition from those who continue the abuse. (White Sea, Chapter 38.)
Lord Thomas assists the investigation into Whales' nobility. The resort he built after Adrianna's death becomes a place of medical recovery and refuge for the persecuted mages and their children. (White Sea, Chapters 39–40.)
