Frozen Roses

Addison remembers Pyter as someone with whom he shared the experience of remaining outside the royal spotlight. After Addison returns from training, the family reconnects, and Pyter learns more about the defensive possibilities of Green Magic through Drama, Addison's combat plant.

Pyter visits Eventide with his relatives and is welcomed into the wider family. He also discusses Pergrand's desire for a king and the limits of the dukes' temporary authority. The manuscript passages provide comparatively little detail about his individual magical training.
