Lily Belarian
- Demnos Bellarian (Cousin)
- Matej Bellarian (Ancestor, Phoenix)
Liljana Theria Bellarian, widely known as Lily, is a Princess and Arbiter/Ambassador of the Bellan Royal Family, as well as an active Valkyrie wielding fire-based magic. Following high-stakes events alongside the Magic Control Council (MCC) in Sweotra, her long-standing relationship with Farron Pradesh transitioned into a romantic partnership.
Overview & Characteristics
Appearance
Standing at 5'9" with a slender Lethe build, Lily is physically characterized by her striking red hair and deep amber eyes.
Personality
Despite a childhood defined by rigorous combat training and the constant shadow of the war with Pergrand, Lily is a remarkably happy, balanced, and stable woman. She is completely free of the bitterness, hate, or anger that plagues many wartime figures—a trait largely credited to her loving, supportive household environment and peaceful family life.
Chronicles & Lore
Early Life & Valkyrie Awakening
Like all members of the Bellan Royal Family, Lily was raised from birth to fight due to the ongoing, grueling war with Pergrand. She enjoyed a deeply happy childhood growing up alongside her father, uncle, cousin, and ancient ancestor Matej. Her immediate household circle also included Tabin, a fire mage who would later emerge as a Midday Archangel mage, and Yul, an orphan taken in by the family who practices Flying Earth Magic—a specialized subset of earth magic primarily originating from Isvhan.
A major turning point in her magical heritage occurred at the age of six when her Valkyrie wings officially emerged. Following this early awakening, she began traveling to Joya annually for specialized training, a yearly regimen she has maintained ever since to perfect her fire-based combat abilities.
The Pradesh Friendship & Political Betrayal
Long before their relationship turned romantic, Lily and Farron Pradesh shared a deep, close friendship that spanned many years. This bond was a rare and highly valued sanctuary for both individuals amidst their intense political and martial obligations.
However, their closeness drew the profound jealousy and malice of Kurino Endovish, who despised their connection. In an act of targeted sabotage, Kurino went so far as to command her own personal knights to leak the precise coordinates and navigation route of Lily's vessel to Pergradian Slavers. This calculated betrayal was accompanied by a massive bounty placed on Lily's ship, her crew, and the Princess herself, transforming her diplomatic and travel operations into a high-stakes struggle for survival against hostile capture networks.
The Sweotra Campaign
As she stepped into her dual role as a Princess and a global Arbiter/Ambassador, Lily's duties eventually brought her into contact with the Magic Control Council (MCC) during a critical deployment in the country of Sweotra. It was throughout the intense peril of this international operation, alongside her foundational history with Farron, that the profound attraction between them fully ignited, permanently cementing their shift from lifelong friends to bound romantic partners.
The Royal Aviary
Outside of her diplomatic and combat obligations, Lily is an avid lover of sunbathing and spends a significant amount of her time managing and caring for the Bellan Royal Aviary. The aviary is a complex sanctuary housing three distinct tiers of phoenix life, alongside other exotic avians:
- True Phoenixes: High-intelligence magical creatures who choose not to shift into human forms.
- Phoenix Shifters: Individuals with shifting capabilities who permanently prefer remaining in their avian states.
- Phoenix Birds: Avians possessing above-average intelligence compared to standard fauna, but who remain purely animalistic.
The aviary also hosts a variety of decorative birds, including peacocks. Among them is a notable white peacock—secretly a female shifter in hiding. This shifter fled to the sanctuary after imperial poachers aggressively targeted Sweotra to harvest animals, people, and natural-born shifters for Kressa, the Black Queen of Seven.
