Austeel Fairstar is a Weapons-master Summoner and captain of the Starluna, his personal privateer airship. He is a member of House Fairstar, originally from Sweorota, and the twin of Ranier Fairstar. His supplied reference depicts him at 23.
Appearance and personality
Austeel stands 6'0" (183 cm) and has an athletic, muscular build. His hair is half black and half white, and his eyes are sea blue, both Fairstar family traits.
He is willful, bold, brave, protective, and defiant. Independent and loyal to his family, he enjoys wine, avoids unnecessary social situations, and values his family deeply.

Austeel is an expert with all weapons and skilled in summoning magic. He is a master pilot, ship commander, and leader experienced in aerial combat and strategy.

The Starluna

Lorence's rescue and flight from the MCC
Austeel led a solo assault on a Magic Control Council facility to rescue his youngest brother, Lorence. In the opening events of White Sea, eighteen-year-old Austeel rescues twelve-year-old Lorence and draws the MCC fleet away aboard the damaged Starluna. Those ages describe the earlier story events; the character reference depicts Austeel later, at 23.
His damaged ship is forced to land in Damascas, Pergrand. Palance's marriage alliance with Ephraim VonVoss provides Pergrandian protection against the MCC's pursuit. The family subsequently finds refuge with the White Sea Mage Guild, joins the Dolfeini clan, and bases its fleet at Eventide Bay. See House Fairstar for the family's escape and later history.

Austeel's parents are Marquis Solomon Fairstar and Amelia Fairstar. He and Ranier are twins. Their siblings are Palance, Toby, Gideon, Jennifer, Ambrose, Lana, and Lorence.
