Bickslow Altiene Pradesh is one of Arman Pradesh's adoptive sons and a member of the Pradesh family. A Seith, or Soul Control, mage of considerable power, he works as a mage of White Sea and runs the Emerald Star nightclub in White Sea City. He is approximately seven months younger than Kaleb Pradesh.
He is 26 when most stories begin.
Appearance
Bickslow stands 6'7" tall, with an athletic, muscular build and deeply tanned skin. His wavy black hair has blue streaks and is cut to jaw length in flowing long layers. He sometimes gathers the top half into a messy bun to keep it out of his way. His eyes are bright blue.
When he is not working as a mage, he usually wears tailor-made waxed black jeans, black combat boots, a green compression T-shirt, and a black denim jacket with its sleeves rolled up.
His tattoos include a wolf howling at the moon on his back and a teddy bear on his left hip. He accessorizes with silver and leather jewelry.
Personality and Interests
Bickslow is happy-go-lucky, relaxed, optimistic, outgoing, and fun-loving. He is affectionate and enjoys cuddling. He adores his family and remains deeply grateful that Kaleb found him and Arman adopted and loved him as a son.
A talented acrobat, gymnast, and dancer, Bickslow also plays bass guitar. He is skilled at card games and enjoys the Friday-night poker game at the guildhall. He and Vander Pradesh have always been close: they run parkour together and play pranks on each other and their siblings.
He enjoys blueberry-clove cigarettes, Long Island iced teas, and the cinnamon chocolate chip cookies made by the family chef, Mr. Elan, at the estate. He often turns to Cristoff Pradesh for affection, considering Cristoff's hugs the best in the family.
Biography
Early Life and Adoption
Bickslow was an orphan held as a servant and slave by a dark mage guild. Not long after Kaleb's adoption, Kaleb accompanied Arman on an inspection of the defeated guild's headquarters. In a basement cell, Kaleb found Bickslow sick, starved, and weak.
Arman adopted Bickslow that same day, welcoming him into the Pradesh family as his son. Bickslow has always been immensely grateful to Kaleb for finding him and to Arman for giving him a loving family.
Training and Guild Combat
Bickslow was raised by the Pradesh family until the age of 14, developing his baseline magical abilities. Following another massive massacre orchestrated by the same dark guildmaster who had targeted him as a child, a full-scale operation was launched against the rogue Seith dark guild. Bickslow actively assisted in taking down the massive criminal organization, neutralizing the threat that had loomed over his childhood.
While there was no official ban on Seith magic in Bosco, the catastrophic actions of the dark guild left the general public looking at the magic style semi-warily. Seeking a secure environment for advanced magical education amid this social tension, Arman arranged for Bickslow to travel to Stella. There, he was taken in and trained by the Hitose, a prominent and respected family of Seith mages, who helped him master his native Seith abilities.
Public Acceptance
Over the span of several years, the wariness surrounding Seith magic in Bosco was systematically dismantled. This shift was driven by extensive, dedicated efforts by Arman and Farron, who worked to educate the general public. By implementing comprehensive changes through the regional school systems and utilizing the Sudehpah network, they successfully corrected public misconceptions, allowing Bickslow to fully integrate back into his homeland without social prejudice.
Work and Magic
Bickslow is a powerful practitioner of Seith, also known as Soul Control. Alongside his work as a White Sea guild mage, he runs the Emerald Star, a nightclub in White Sea City.
