Valkyrie Magic

Ra looked at the Archangels and he was...happy with them, but he felt something was missing. with them being only male, he felt there was a void.

He mulled it over and decided that....he could make female warriors of the same caliber of the Archangel mages...to break the preconception that women were the weaker sex that mortals had.

Their answer was the Valkyrie.

Like archangel mages, there were three types, but they were also gifted a single contract with a constellation. it was not a key, but a spiritual bond, each Valkyrie had a bond with a Pegasus. Unlike archangels, Valkyrie were not born with their wings, they have to learn to manifest them. their magic can be active without the wings being usable.

Like Archangels, they can augment the magic of their chosen mate, opening their third origin, and for male summoners during the holy war...they were a commodity. the male summoners were already being hunted...and the Valkyrie would fight to the death...unfortunately, the assassins going after the summoners found this a good way to rid themselves of the Valkyrie as well.

Wing Types

Fire

Fire Wings are for speed, heat, these are accomplished fire mages and they are fast, light fighters

Ice

Ice wings are mages who maintain, they are both attackers and defenders, creators.

Earth

Earth wings are the heaviest, they are the front line...and the ones that most often use pegasi. Earthen wings are not prone to flight, but prone to being massive shields.

Gifts

These Female warriors are known to be at the top of their classes, fighters and well trained...but the gifts are what set them apart.

• The Valkyrie are able to summon a Pegasus that is bonded to them at birth
• The Valkyrie have a special body, that protects their unborn child in a special spatial connection until they are born, allowing the mother to continue to fight without anyone knowing she is actually pregnant.
